Lincolnshire Beekeepers Association 2021 Honey Show

On the 4th September we held the Extraordinary LBKA County Honey show at Thornes at Wragby.  Although in somewhat different surroundings than we are used to for holding the Honey Show, with around 230 entries in actual fact our highest number of entries in a show excluding schools classes for some years, it was very pleasing to see some new and successful competitors with one of those taking Reserve Best in Show with their Medium Liquid Honey.  The judges were very pleased with the quality of entries, this year not only being able to present a Best in show BBKA Blue Ribbon but also a BBKA Reserve Best in show.  Thank you to all who entered, congratulations to those who picked up prizes.

Thanks to the Honey judges Tony Jefferson from Whitby, Dave Shannon from Doncaster.  The confectionary judges Sheila Cartwright from Wragby and Beryl Baker from Louth.  Also our thanks to Gill, Paul and Rebecca for providing the space and tabling for the show to be held, not to mention the staff who helped and provided the very welcome refreshments.

A presentation of the trophies took place at Thornes on the 9th October at their annual sale day at Rand.
